Why has America gotten so stupid these days?

Let's face it: The media has gotten ridiculously stupid, everyone is obsessed with drugs and thinks it can cure everything (i.e. Health Care, Psychiatry, Marijuana smokers), Christians and Atheists bicker like babies, nobody knows how to socialize, and people don't even know what they are talking about anymore. Am I the only one that thinks society has gotten so retarded since the baby boomers that it's as obvious as obvious can get?
