What can you tell me about Frat hell week?

Ok so I know your not allowed to say exactly what goes on in hell week and initiations and such, but im just wondering as im thinking of pledging to a fraternity in OK, is hell week really terrible? Like I can handle stuff like constant quizzes on frat history and if u get questions wrong u have to do pushups or stuff like doing stairs till early in the morning, that stuffs all in good fun, but ive read some stuff about like, forcing pledges to perform ual acts on the actives and really cruel painful insane stuff…is that common….?
