Hotels near abbott ave n in minneapolis minnesota?

i'm planning a surprise trip out there to visit my best friend and i cant rent a car because i'm not twenty one... and with taking the bus it looks like it will take over an hour and a half from the hotels i've found so i was wondering if anyone else had any ideas. if any one knows of close hotels and/or a better way to get around. i've never been to minnesota so i could use the help!! thank you.
