My computers wireless gets weird every 5min or so?

Sounds like an interference issue. You may have 1 or more devices that are causing this. When I connect wirelessly using a linksys wireless router, i routinely get disconnected by means of the cordless telephone, or the garage door remote control. Then I have neighbors next door (in an apartment) roaming about using their cordless telephones and their signal interferes with me to communicate to the router. To overcome this, it might mean that you have to cable up from your laptop to the router and live with that until you can determine the source of interference.
