Is it bad eenism that the Pope made provisions for disaffected Anglicans to reunify with the Catholic Churc?

Good questions, but I don't know how to read the "motives" of the church authorities in decisions like this. Remaining skeptical while giving a bit of benefit of the doubt, is my style, since I have no stake in the outcome. Friendly gestures should not be spat upon, until there is evidence that they are not so friendly, after all.
