What are the bugs that were in my boyfriend's Wheat Thins?

He told me this morning that there were little bugs in his Wheat Thins. He said that they were about the size of a sugar ant and brown with no markings--solid brown. They were not segmented and seemed that they might be squishy (not shelled). Does anyone have any idea what they might have been?
